Audio devices on the OS X are set up and selected in the OS X Audio MIDI Setup. Make sure you have first downloaded and installed the latest Mac updates You should also check your Audio Device in REAPER. To do this, start REAPER and choose the Options, Preferences command from REAPER's Main Menu, then under Audio select Device from the list of headers in the column on the left.
Now, though this is tongue in cheek somewhat, SSL just pulled out of ardour development, and Im pretty sure PD does have a bit of respect for reaper, CERTAINLY way more than Curve Dominant course, someone who doesn't even know what a DI is ( A Very Stoopid Question About DI ) is in no position to be making such hardcore judgements about any daw's anyhow
I've been using commercial audio and MIDI apps for ten years. I'm a pro musician and engineer. I've been working with MIDI since Roland brought it to market in the 80's. Reaper is the best I've seen! I've stopped using and buying other DAW apps and switched to Reaper.
REAPER (32-bit)
If you're running a business making more than the income threshold, you'll have to invest in the commercial license. While this is more expensive than a discounted license, you'll still be getting a powerful product that's less expensive compared to other DAWs.

Allow me to be the resident A-hole here ("s'cuse me while I whip this out..."). Done! You can now use Reaper. Input>Midi>Virtual Midi Keyboard Compatibility I'm now back to my composing producing in logic----->>> to protools workflow. This is a complete install, providing all the files you need to use Ambisonic Toolkit with Reaper. The convolution kernels are provided as part of the installers. There is no need to download and install them separately. Input Range -Eric @ CD
