For the first time, the Joseph Rowntree Theatre will be taking part in the York Residents Festival this year. We'll be open on Saturday 26th January from 10am, and, every hour on the hour, until 2pm (incl), we'll be hosting guided tours of the theatre. Lots of our lovely volunteer guides will be on hand to show you around, and no doubt pass on a few stories of their own, many of them being past or current performers. Come and see how the magic is made backstage, and maybe even consider becoming a volunteer yourself. If you're over 16, have a love of drama, music and theatre, and would like to join our teams backstage or front of house, make a date for Saturday 26th. You'll be made most welcome! There is no need to book, just turn up on the day. The day is open to all York residents, and we're not just recruiting volunteers - just come along, enjoy a cup of tea and discover York's little gem of a community theatre. Pick up our latest brochure, and see the huge range of shows in our Spring season - there really will be something for everyone.
